About Me
Hello, my name is Jessica.
I am a Licensed Master Esthetician and Licensed Massage Therapist. I am the founder of Niya’s Beauty Bar. My journey into the esthetics field started with a passion for makeup. I began practicing on myself then ventured off onto clients in early 2015. I wanted to become certified. I learned having a license would grant me more opportunities. With researching for makeup courses, I came across Elizabeth Grady in Medford. I attended an open house and then was eager to know more so I took to Facebook to ask what other esthetics schools there are. A few of my friends stated that they attended the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics. I booked a personal tour there and instantly fell in love. The school colors were purple (my favorite color.) The tour was amazing, and I loved the vibe there so much that I enrolled right then and there. I also asked my sister to attend with me. I signed up for 600 hours of part-time evenings and graduated in Nov 2016. I also received my Certification in classic lash extensions while I attended school there. This certification granted me a passion for lash extensions.
I started my first spa job in Oct 2016 where it landed me with another job doing solely waxing in 2017 at European Wax Center. I received great training for waxing and became an amazing waxer. While working at EWC I met a wonderful friend who planted a seed to continue my education. That is when I enrolled in the 900 Advanced Acceleration program at CHI.This journey started in July 2017 while worked two jobs. I strived to continue my experience and landed another spa job at Massage Envy in September 2017. I became PCA Skin certified twice through school and Massage Envy. Before I finished school I was certified in advanced treatments such as PCA Skin chemical peels, LED light treatments, HydraFacial’s, microdermabrasion and dermaplaning. I left Massage Envy and continued working at the hospital until I landed another job as a Lash Artist. While there, I enrolled in two advanced lash courses and became certified in Volume and Mega Volume lash extensions. With all of these jobs along with the knowledge and experiences, I realized I wanted to build my own brand. I started off at home taking clients; where it got named after my daughter Niya’s Beauty Bar. The ultimate goal has been to work for myself. I then wanted to create something with the thoughts of my clients, after extensive research; I came up with an exfoliant that would help with my wax clients needs and make their wax experience better. Then I created a facial cleanser, toner, serum , moisturize on top of the exfoliant.With room to expand more products will be coming out. With all the dedication and strength I finally launched my own skincare line called The Skin God this year 2021. The name came from my clients and I thought what better way to show my appreciation to all present and future clients and buyers, by naming it that. It has been with great pleasure that the support from everyone who are using it. See great results and how they glow about it. I thank all of my clients for pushing me to be this greatest esthetician that I’ve become. I then realized I wanted to do more for my clients and business so I decided to enroll in massage school. I wanted to incorporate crystals and sage so becoming a Holistic Massage Therapist would be the perfect way to go. To also care for those getting body surgeries, I could be the one servicing them for their post op needs. Became a Post op Lymphatic Drainage Specialist before finishing up school and I am proud to announce I have accomplished becoming dual license. Its only greatness from here out.
